I have a 1985 Ford Ranger that when I use my turn signal, it stays solid instead of blinking. It blinks sometimes but most of the time its just solid. I have already replaced the turning switch with one I got from a junk yard but it didn't fix the problem. Is there a turning signal circuit i can replace for cheap or something and where is it located? Any advice?

Your flasher is spent. In the fuse box you'll see a round silver cylander plugged in, (ford may be square, cant quite remember) but it should be mettalic silver. When you pull it it should say "flasher" right on it. It will cost about 3 to 5 dollars. If you have the owners manual it will tell you exactly which one it is. If not it should be pretty easy to spot once you look in the fuse box.

They will do this when one of the bulbs is out. I think it is the front ones. If the back one is out, then they will flash at a fast rate. Or your flasher module may be bad.

There's a good possibility that your flasher has given up. They're around $10 at a parts store.
