ouch . . . this is comin from a guy who has been dumped and took it rough. My advice, be kind but firm. Tell him in person if you can, if not the phone. Not online. Just be straight up and honest, you know that he is a great guy but you don't feel that way about him anymore. Tell him he deserves a girl who will love him. Tell him you can be friends if he wants (it never works but just say it) but that you need a few month's apart completely. I almost feel it for you, i felt terrible dumping a girl in the past, knowing it would cause pain, but hey its life we all go through it at some point.

I wouldn't say I know the right way but I know the wrong ones, through a friend, on msn, over the phone and if you have ever watched sex and the city not on a post it. But you have to do it be firm if he just won't get it and don't take no for an answer or it will hurt him more later if you put it off too long.

How to break up? Very easy... girls can be cruel about this, so why don't you try it? Just say, "its over" and shut off all contacts with him.

You might wanna go to http://www.lovingyou.com/ and go under breaking up. Well don't hurt his feelings, say it like a good not rude or selfish way. Maybe you can find good reasons or help him understand each other that y'all need to see other people. The website should help.
