where could i find records on amatuer boxers from the 1940 ,s and 50,s????

Unfortunately, there is no data for most of the amateur boxers from that time period. If the fighter you're looking for won the Golden Gloves, C.Y.O. or any other major tournament there might be something about them in your local papers archives other than that, maybe a family member of the fighter.
