There are some people who "think" like Twain today but they are not on "Prozac". They are just considered, "gifted".

If he presented to a doctor as suffering from depression, I expect that may be one of the options explored. It's also sometimes used to treat OCD, anxiety disorders and even AD/HD.

Were you trying to make a point? If so give some details - do you perceive his work as indicating he had a mental illness? I must say it hadn't occurred to me especially with Twain, but certainly many writers and other artists do and did have such problems. Just like lots of firemen, teachers, criminals, politicians, hairdressers, and unemployed people do. Illness does not discriminate...
