I did, I had to drive 10 hours from arizona to the L.A. Fedral building and wait 7-8 hours there but I got it. I did bring with me all my paper work too, I didn't have to plead with the people there, and I don't ever remember bring a plane ticket, seeing as I did not have it yet, only the reserved seat notification. Three days and 10 hours later I was happy in London.

I think you have to have a valid airline ticket to get a rushed Passport. I am not sure if it can be done in one day though. I think I was able to get mine in two days and I went to the main Passport office on 19th street NW in Washington DC. Check the Post Office in your area, some of the larger ones will complete Passport requests.

it depends. some agencies applicants to get their passports in 1 day, provided the applicants submit a valid and urgent reason on why you need the passport in one day. there are cases that you even need to personally explain your reason to the department head.

those who work in the foreign affairs department can even get their passports in 1 hour, so it is highly possible that you can get yours in 1 day.

I know in LA you can in one day, but you really have to plead your case, and be very nice to the people doing the processing.

In the UK you can, if you go to a main passport office.

But you have to have documentation to prove why you need it so fast.
