No, I am not to stupid too know that a lot is two words. I do know that you are not the only one who knows that. This is not a term that is used a lot in the english language. I also think that using R U 2 makes you look less than intelligent.

Do the time-outs artwork for the different habit problems? Or are they thoroughly ineffective for him? in the event that they do no longer seem to be working in any respect, be sure you're doing right here: a million) clarify on the commencing up and end of the timeouts why he in interior the timeout, 2) forget approximately approximately him thoroughly in the process the holiday (that seems to have extra of an result than being made to take a seat down nonetheless) 3) make certain he finishes it thoroughly. besides to the timeout, attempt quickly removing a known toy. It has worked wonders for my 3 year previous daughter. basically keep the toy for a pair of days, nevertheless, or he will forget approximately the incident that led to the punishment. additionally, make certain that adults around him are not making use of the "naughty" words. For those people around you who you won't have the ability to administration, whilst they say the words, use that as an probability to communicate on your son approximately what they stated, why it became incorrect and what they might desire to have stated rather. stable success!

No. I know that a lot is two words.
However, are you too stupid to know that when writing numbers out in word form between zero and nine you don't use the numeral symbol but the actual word?
*I* thought so.

The fact that you didn't spell out "R U 2..." might suggest that you shouldn't criticise the one who writes "alot". It is incorrect to write it like that so you are right in saying it is two words but think about why it happens. We are so crazy about e-mailing and especially texting that all our words are shortened in every possible way. All good in correcting us, but do it gently please.

actually it is both...it just depends on what you are trying to say: for example if you wanted to give your friend a certain amount of something you might allot them $45; if you wanted to say that you had a surplus of something, you would say that you have a lot of something. both sound the same but have different spellings and meanings.

Actually it seems you are the retard here.
Acronym = ALOT
Meaning = Allotment
Allotment = a portion or thing allotted
Synonyms = measure, lot, ration
I would believe if people wanted to use alot it is acceptable.

Put "Eats, Shoots and Leaves" down and take a deep breath. There's more to life than angry prescriptivism.
