I am currently on probation for a first DWI. I am off in August, but I have been extended due to a minor previous violation, failure to contact after I moved. So a 2 year prob. has turned into three. Today I failed a UA, so I am gonna have to go before the judge. Realistically, what is likely going to happen to me? If I take it upon myself to check into a rehab before I go before the judge, is that going to improve my situation any? What is likely to happen then?

17,

I will not pass judgment upon you...there is only one being who has the wisdom to do so...any and all others are over-stepping their boundaries.

I would recommend that you secure the services of a good defense attorney. A lot of what may happens depends on the judge hearing the case. An experienced attorney who knows how the judge will rule will also know what may be perceived favorably in the court.

Since you have had more than one probation violation you should prepare yourself for jail time. I hope you aren't going to rehab just to try and get out of trouble.

I don't know if you'll have to appear before a judge but I hope so...Rehab is for people trying to recover not just avoid responsibility...STOP DRINKING AND DRIVING....IT KILLS PEOPLE....Get some help...Good luck...Work the steps....
