You need to go somewhere and have it professionally done. It's going to dry your hair out afterwards so you'll want to use a really good conditioner and a good moisturizing shampoo.
If you follow those rules you should be good!

Never use household bleach!!! You will be SO sorry. Use bleach from a beauty store ment for hair. Bleaching will always damage your hair. But it depends on the peroxide volume that's in the bleach, how long you leave it on and the condition you hair is already in. Since strawberry blonde is pretty light you wouldn't have to use a very strong bleach or leave it on that long. But if you're completely new to bleaching your hair you should have it done professionally. You don't want to ruin your hair. I'm really good at bleaching my hair only because I've messed it up twice and learned from my mistakes

Well, unfortunately there's no quick fix, your hair's been damaged, all you can do it wait for it to grow out. You can put a toner/wash out colour over the top if you want to cover up the ginger, go for a mid brown semi permanent dye, preferably a herbal one as this will not cause any more damage. All you can do is treat your now distressed hair with some tender loving care, try to keep blow-drying and straightening to a bare minimum. Buy an intensive repairing conditioner, any one will do and comb through freshly washed damp hair with a wide toothed comb, then wrap a damp warm towel around your hair and leave on for half an hour, this will help the conditioner to penetrate deep into the hair and make it look in better condition. Olive oil is also extremely nourishing for the hair, you could do the same as I just described but with Olive oil if you want, you will need to shampoo a couple of times to ensure it's all rinsed out though. When my hair's been really dry before I have left Conditioner on all night and rinsed it out in the morning. If it's breaking off a lot then just try not to touch it too much. Good luck and I hope you like my tips :)

Chlorine bleach is not for hair! It can cause skin burns and blindness! It is a totally different chemical. I hope thats not what you meant. Hair bleach can be damaging to hair also, sometimes it can be lightened with blonde hair dye. Highlights are most attractive in strawberry blonde hair.

Yes of course it will damage your hair!! If you look at the back of a Clorox bleach bottle, it says "DANGER: CORROSIVE" (all in caps like that too) and goes on to list all of the horrible fates that you could induce just by prolonged exposure to bleach. I have strawberry blonde hair too, and I get a lot of compliments on it (although I hate it at times). It may cost more money, but just go to like a drug store and buy a home dying kit -- it's a lot safer and will obtain more reliable results (bleach will not necessarily bleach your hair, just discolor it.). Good luck -- hope this helps you! :D

Definitely not. The only thing actual bleach will do to your hair is give you a green tint. Especially with Summer just around the corner, dying your hair blonde, you'd have to wait approximately 6-8 weeks before going into a pool, by then your roots are showing. I would skip the bleach, go to Sally's beauty supply.. and ask one of the employees. They'll introduce you to Hair peroxide.
Either that, or since your hair is already a shade of blonde, they can offer a bottle of this stuff.. It takes the red out of hair, and doesn't leave it with brassy tones like simply bleaching does.

NO NO NO Bleach will not only damage your hair, it will kill it and burn your scalp. If you want to lighten your hair and not use a standard coloring product, put some peroxide on it and sit in the sun for a few minutes. Not too long or it will be really red.
Smart people would spend the money and buy a lightening product at the store.

If you are talking about Clorox bleach, definitely do not put that in your hair. It is so damaging to your hair. It is not meant for hair, therefore it does not have the conditioners it needs for your hair. Now if you are talking about hair bleach, it will also damage your hair. But, if you keep it well conditioned after bleaching it, it will be soft. =)

What kind of bleach are you talking about? Any kind of bleach kills everything, including hair. If you have strawberry blonde hair, try using lemon juice while you are in the sun. bleach could make your hair more orange. be careful what kind of bleach and toner you use. does knowing all this make me gay?

My friend used clorox to "dye" her hair or bleach it. It did not work...her hair fell out...she had these nasty sores on her scalp that would drain or weep....and it took months to even get new growth of hair in. Not to mention the headaches she had for days. If you are wanting to bleach your hair, go to a salon or at the least by the right kind of product and have some one who knows what they are doing do it for you. I would seriously opt for the salon..you do not want your hair turning out orange or dry out.

.........putting laundry-bleach on your hair will not make it lighter. it will RUIN it. they sell bleach at any beauty supply store, but that will also ruin your hair.
use hair dye to go lighter-- each time you dye, about once per month, go a little bit lighter-- it will look more natural
my hair is naturally dark brown, starting in january, i go a little bit lighter with the dye, and by summer, i get soft brown sun kissed hair!
