I will say you let her get the better of you More ways than one, in one move you can put a woman down without beating her, you lost control of your thought process your reasoning powers and you ego, it is not necessary to beat someone into submission, you can make one or two moves at the most to render someone helpless without a lot of real physical abuse, regardless of weather she had it coming or not, you would not have asked about this unless you felt some guilt, so feel good about you still have civility and know it is wrong, this gives you a chance to grow more mature. You were lucky she was not from the middle east with a bomb you would of been dead with a suicide bomb.

She was in the wrong! But you too followed in her path. Have you ever heard of Karma? I'm sure you have. You'd have been better off letting it go, this would of made you the better person. Always remember, "What comes around goes Around"! Hers would of come around eventually but because you took it upon yourself to bring it back to her, the nature aspect of coming back around to her is now sitting on shoulders causing you to feel like sh**! It never feels good knowing you are the cause of someone Else's pain. So when you don't react and interfere with Karma's forces, you feel pretty good when the around has happened to the person who did you wrong, because you yourself didn't cause it! They did it to themselves. Do you get what I'm saying?

She did wrong. So did you. There is never an excuse for physical violence - from you or her. The fact that she is a woman has nothing to do with it. The only mitigating factor in your favour is that she did it intentionally, whereas you were reacting to her assult (and presumably, you were in pain.)

I AM SORRY FOR ALL THE HASSLES YOUR GOING THROUGH. BUT TWO WRONGS DONT MAKE A RIGHT. I DO THINK THAT IF A WOMEN IS BRAVE ENOUGH TO TOSS OUT A FIST . SHE MIGHT AS WELL TAKE IT RIGHT BACK. TO MANY WOMEN TAKE IT FOR GRANTED THAT IT IS OK TO HIT A MAN AND GET AWAY WITH IT. YOU MIGHT SAY HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE TAUGHT HER A LESSON THAT YOU DONT GO HITTING SOMEONE AND EVEN WORSE SOMEONE WHO IS ALREAY HURT.

Nice try. Witnesses in your favor would not have prevented the cops from busting you. Please.
