Shogun Rua.

Anyone who say Chuck Liddell is a idiot who never watch anything beside UFC. Many fighter would beat him such as Rampage, Shogun, Wanderlei, Ricardo Arona, little Nog, Skjoudo, etc... Those guys are very good strikers and also can fight on ground as well. Alistair Overeem was beating on Chuck big time until Chuck land that wild loop hook on him.

Pride fighter have been way much higher caliber than UFC fighter because they have to know striking and ground fight very well otherwise they'll not do well. Try compare UFC fighter's plan with Pride fighter and you'll see big different between both of them.

I don't think it takes a genius to figure out that current champion Chuck Liddell is the best in the UFC Light Heavyweight division which is defined as 185lbs-205lbs.
After seeing his last several title defenses in which he dominated such outstanding fighters as Tito Ortiz and current Heavyweight Champ and former Light Heavyweight belt holder Randy Couture I find very little to respect in arguments to the contrary.
The Iceman has proven that the Light Heavyweight belt is his by taking on all challengers to date.
Looking at Pride first let's first understand that this organization defines weight classes differently from the UFC. Fighters entering the ring over in Japan are classified as Heavyweight or Open Weight (over 93kg/205lbs), Middleweight(93kg/205lbs and under), Welterweight (83kg/183lb and under ) and 73kg or 160lb and under weight class respectively.
Pride matches often pit fighters from different weight classes, particulary in the Middleweight and Heavy or Open Weight with champions determined during the Pride Grand Prix tournament. Previously held during alternate years for each weight class recent announcements from Event News have quoted Gong Magazine and Dream Stage Entertainment Ceo Nobuyuki Sakakibara as anouncing changes in the near future that will include the Pride Grand Prix for any given weight class being held once every four years, much like the Olympics.
As to who is the best fighter at 205lbs in Pride....I say Dan Henderson who not only is the current Pride Welterweight champion but also stepped up in weight class to take on Middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva in a title contest February 25 2007.
Silva viewed by many fight fans as one of the best and most vicious MMA fighters in the world was proven human after all as Henderson deployed a strategy that can only be defined as masterful before punching his way to a knockout in the third round.
A gutsy performance that will not soon be forgotten by those of us in attendence or viewing via Pay Per View.

it rather is an extremely stacked branch and it rather is rather a p.c.. 'em branch yet as much as i don't choose to declare it it rather is in all probability Rashad Evans suited now, with Machida an in depth 2nd. Rampage, Rua, and Griffin are suited there. Rua desires yet another combat to show himself and Rampage will in all probability get the subsequent shot yet desires to show he's back in type, and clearly Forrest ought to marvel the international and flow way up on the Pound for Pound record in August.
