ok i filled out my fafsa(yes i have a pin) but i filled the one out for 2006-2007 and i will be going to college in the fall of 2007. i understand that i filled the wrong one out. so i went back to the website and just renewed it for 2007-2008... >>>>does that not work? or should i have completely filled a new one??? plzz help ty<<<<< i tried to check the status of my 2007-2008 one but it wasnt found. wtf

If it doesn't show up, then the renewal process probably wasn't sufficient to serve as your application. Even students who renew their applications from year to year are still required to fill out new income/asset information each time. Did you do all of that, submit the form, and receive a SAR via email? If not, you will most likely need to complete a new 07-08 application.
I would tell you to wait another few days, but you don't want to miss your schools' deadlines by waiting around to see if the 07-08 form gets processed.

Sorry, it's a pain but you have to fill out the application for the correct school year.
