I call myself a Scientologist because that is the main Religion I apply in my life.

I agree with parts of Paganism, Buddhism, Mormon(ism), Taoism, Christianity and many other Religions.

I do not believe that what I follow or do is the only way. But I do maintain my integrity on it. I have made a choice to apply something to my life as many of you have.

I actually think if we all applied our Religions fully we could all get along and sort this place out.

Not too many people, like yourself, have the ability to combine their philosophy of life {which I believe that Scientology is, as is Buddhism, for they have no belief in a creator god) and a religious system, and encorporate them together in a path or a way of life for themselves.

I am a Student of Buddhism, but I also have encorporated some of the teachings of Jesus, and some of the teachings of
Taoism into my philosophy of Life.

Most Westerners do not do this. It is a Stigma for them to do so, for they feel they are disowning their holy book or their prophet, or savior/god. And some Middle Eastern religions/people, Islams have the same dilemma also, as most westerners feeling as if they have forsaken the Qur'an or Allah, if they encorporate a wise, sound philosophy as Taoism, or Buddhism into their path/way of life.

I am a Westerner living in Southern California, but to me there is completely nothing wrong with doing this.

There is an excellent book out called,
"Life Without Stress" by: Dr. Arthur
Sokoloff, which talks exactly of this.
And it also talks of how most Easterners have learned to encorporate many religions, and philosophy's of life together,
to use as a practice, a way of life, to acquire a stable peace of mind, and happiness, thus as a result they live a "Life without Stress !"

This logical reasoning needs a very open minded - MIND, for one to have in order to do this. Too many, find it beyond themselves to be open-minded;
narrow-mindedness is a habit that has been with them, possibly since birth, or before.
And we all know, it takes much determination, and discipline to overcome a negative habit with a positive habit. Doctors and Psychologists say it takes 21 days to replace a negative habit with a postive habit.

Thanks You for giving the opportunity to provide (not THE answer), but an answer to your excellent question.

Have a Great Week, and Weekend.

I agree with most of your statement.

1. The world would be a better place if people really followed their religions.

2. There is some truth in all religions. As a Christian I would even agree members of other religions focus on certain very important things better then Christians do.

However the problem is there can only be one set of facts that are reality, Christianity says Christ is the only way to salvation. I hold nothing against someone who does not believe this but I do believe they will not attain salvation.

wheres the fun in that?
label everything
and pick sides
world peace is a wonderful concept
but cmon look around
you have to kill to survive
even if you pay the grocery store to do it for you
or even you only eat vegetables
thats what i think the last supper was really about
thats why sacrifice is central to religion
wash yourself in the blood of god's son
eat the flesh of jesus
drink his blood
you have to accept the fact
that this existence involves killing and eating
when it is time
you will die and be consumed by the worms
its okay after all
"you" dont really exist
thats just a concept

I tend to agree. It is not up to us to convince anyone of anything. We simply need to respect the other persons beliefs and hopefully they will respect ours. I was reading a little today about scientology. I can't say I really understand the concept but would be willing to broaden my knowledge if you ever have time to do an e mail to me. Thanks.

Just because this is what you have come up with in your experience, it does not change the truth.

We have been told the truth, which is that Jesus Christ is the only way to enernal life with our Heavenly Father.

The funny thing about truth is that is DOES NOT CHANGE.
Chose the truth and not the lie.

Well Michael, I very much believe that the day is coming that everything is all going to be sorted out. And we all will be happy little campers.

But then we would ALL go to hell.
Jesus said I am the way, the, truth, the light,no man comes to the Father but by me.
So to follow your teaching ,we all will fall into a ditch.
You know the blind leading the blind.<><
