Parathyroids are glands located behind the thyroid gland in the neck. A parathyroid disorder would be a condition that interferes with the normal operation of the parathyroid gland.

The symptoms of a parathyroid tumor are so common that without a true diagnosis, most people wouldn't even guess that they had a parathryroid issue. The symptoms include:
nausea
vomiting
aches and pains
excessive urination
fatigue
abdominal pain
muscle weakness
confusion
As you can see, these symptoms could fit so many other illnesses as well. The good news is that most parathyroid tumors (which are rare to start) are benign.
