I am planning to go there as a volunteer for a certain organization, problem is, I have to arrange my own accommodation. I'll be there for 2 months. Do you know any really cheap but decent hotels (price range?) or any programs where I can live in someone's home and pay them (or not)? Or any websites where I can find this info?

It's very hard to find a cheap but decent hotel in Beijing. Finding a local family to live with is a better choice. The following websites may do some help.

i think it much depends on which part you are going to as a volunteer.you know beijing is the biggest city in its area, most hotel is much expensive ,i think to live in a chiunese home is a good choice.because mostly chinese is very friendly to foreigner, and it will be much cheap for you .i am now live in beijing and familiar with beijing if you need any help i can try to help you . joshua.bj2008@yahoo.com
