I'm planning to use the double decker bus, and im confused!

1. How does the process of getting on and off work? can you get off anytime you want?

2.Is it good to buy the pass now? (leaving on april 6-14)
current date: 3/13/07. or should i buy it at the center?

3. do u recommend walking and going around, or taking the full tour?
