I am looking for your belief, not what your told nor what someone else thinks.
By FREE I mean able to understand and overcome any barrier or situation, basically to not be trapped.

The alien thing I know nothing about, sound like some fairy tale to me.

Personally, I'm not a Scientologist, and I strongly disagree with many of Scientology's teachings..
However, I do feel that understanding your spiritual self and that of your environment (not just the nature aspect concerning trees & such, but also things such as your place of employment) can set you free from much of the negative aspect of a mind's natural tendencies; in other words, it can bring a true sense of balance into your life.
Being free is a lovely thing. :)

i believe what an ex Scientologist told me, that the church was all about getting people to take courses to get their money he got high up in the church and quit because of what he learned. the alien thing is from the works of L Ron Hubbard. I had friends that were scientologists and they had art work with aliens in their home. they were constantly taking courses even though they could not afford them, their home was going into foreclosure, and the courses were expensive. I have gone to a Scientology center while pregnant and all they did was upset me make me cry and try to sell me a book that would "help" and sign me up for classes.

Are you talking about the New World Order or what? by trapped do you mean taken into spiritual bondage like so many have been in Satan's Secret underworld Society? And if you think your free are you really, if you want to be free indeed Jesus can set you free.Jesus paid the price for us on the cross, by faith threw grace we are saved. In God is truth and life abundantly.

Is it true what I saw on South Park, that Scientology teaches we are unhappy because we don't realize we are possessed by the spirits of dead aliens?
My understanding of my spiritual nature is that there is not such thing as a spiritual nature. It's all brain chemistry. And yet, it's very liberating.

I am free because - "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:36 - I am free because Jesus gave me freedom - freedom from myself, and from sin. I dont have to be the way i was because I'm free. I'm not in bondage to sin, or a slave to this world. There can only be true freedom in Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 - "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

As an atheist, I know that recognizing reality is freedom.
Reality like "I'm not an eternal soul. I shouldn't waste my time trying to develop 'powers' such as willing objects to move or willing people to obey me and expecting it to happen just because I've willed it with my mind."
