It might have to do with the usually sarcastic way most such questions are asked.

If you're referring to your previous question, think of it much like being in a car, on a long car ride. Someone asks, "Are we there yet?" The first time it gets asked, it's not too bad. The tenth time, it's annoying. By the 50th time, your patience is long since gone and you're trying not to strangle the person.

That's pretty much what you're seeing - lots of people come in and ask the same old trite questions of Pagans. "Don't you know the Christian God forbids what you're doing?" Yes, we know. Frankly, we don't care, because it's not relevant. We don't have a relationship with the Christian God, quite often with very good reason. We have relationships with our own gods, ones who are perfectly fine with what we're doing, thank you very much.

I am wiccan but I do not get defensive over people asking questions about magick... How else are people going to learn and understand what magick really is without asking questions??

What I do get defensive about is when a legit question and then extreme christians preach about it being the devils work. Since I do not worship satan or even believe in satan then it is not satans work or worship. But if a christian keeps on and on then I will stand up for my faith just as they do of theirs..

what use of magic question?

the one that you asked in mythology and folklore?

the question is offensive and intended as an insult and a means for you to preach. that is why people get defensive about it.

how would you feel if we constantly spouted doctrine against your chosen religion. most of you all can not even stand being treated as equals by the USA government. what would you do if some real oppression hit.

I am not defensive, however you are trying to tell Pagans that we should follow your god's laws, your religion. Come on now, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out that Pagans do not worship your god.

How would you feel if I started admonishing you with quotes from Havamal by the High One Himself, Odin?

Because the mandates of a God we don't believe in, are meaningless.

If someone came up to you on the street, and said their god told you to kill your pet, would you? I hope not.

Just because someone says, "God told me to tell you!" Doesn't mean the rest of the world is going to listen.
