I am sorry to hear of your loss. Life is not fair. It is hard sometimes and cruel. The sad songs that make you cry are not bad. Crying helps a bit. Being with family and friends helps a bit and so does haveing some time alone. Being depressed from such a loss is normal, and will take time to come to terms with. It will never be 'All better' but Life does go on, and it can be good and rich and full even after such a loss. Take your time to get through it. Don't dwell on it only and do try to get on with life, but at the same time do not forget what you had and do not forget your boyfriend. Listen to the song that was 'Your song' Listen to the sad songs that are in your particular type of music ( country, rock, rap, whatever) and listen to the sad songs from other types of music as well. Let them make you cry. Let it out, but don't let it rule your life. Also listen to the good songs you always liked. Get on with life as best as you can, and in time it will get better. there is no quick fix.

Did he actually die? I am so sorry. If that's the case, maybe you would like to listen to music that he liked, or better yet, that both of you liked - all the way from when you first met him. You can enjoy your memories while you listen to this music. On the other hand, if you mean by "just like died" that he suddenly broke up with you after a long relationship, listen to music you like and start trying to work him out of your system. No, it won't be fast after all those years, but if you are only in high school, you have a lot of life ahead of you, and you have to get back on your feet. Good luck.

listen to songs that help you cry but give you hope. or you'll never get outta the ditch. Sad songs alone make you feel worse, you need a little ray of light in your mind so you dont get too dark. But you gotta grieve, cry, and be angry sometimes. Just dont let your life go down too.

I am not sure songs are going to help you through this. Do you have family or friends that can help? I feel very sad for your loss. I hope at some point you can move on and enjoy things again.

Listen to anything by Dashboard Confession. Also listen to View from Heaven by Yellowcard. I'm sorry for your loss, I know how it feels.
