Usually it means there's such a low percentage of fruit juice that there are only trace amounts of vitamins in it.
The reason they make drinks that way is that sugar and water are cheaper than fruit juice.
Have you ever noticed how, if you buy a berry juice drink that is 100% juice, it will have pear juice (I guess because that doesn't have much flavor) and grape juice and probably apple juice before they ever get to the berry part of it?
If you're buying juice drinks for your child (if you have one), you're better off buying a 100% juice and then mixing it half and half with water...less sugar and more vitamins than the juices that are only 5% or so.
If you can find them where you live, look for the cans of fruit nectar (not pure juice, but SO good). They're usually made in Mexico and have the labels in both spanish and english. You have to wash the top of the can before you drink from it...but the peach nectar drinks are so good I could live on them and nothing else :-)
Oh, another good one is the big can of orange/mango juice...you know those juices on the bottom shelf at the grocery store...that is the best kind.

By the time they get done processing the crap out of the fruit and such there is nothing left. Besides most bottled juices have apple juice and apple juice is not a source of C vitamins. Most bottled juices and frozen are fortified with vitamin C which means it is added as an after thought.

That's a trick by the food manufacturers... instead of using high fructose corn syrup... they use sweet juices like apple or grape as a "filler" for the juice.
All the nutrition is in the skin and pulp, the juice is usually filter so you don't get that.
Technically, it's juice so they can call it 100% fruit juice.
Also, if it's from concentrate, it's still 100% juice.
They're just using a different form of sugar in my opinion.

It depends on the percentage of the fruit juice in the drink. Sometimes, if it has a certain amount of juice in it (like 80%), they can just say its 100%...kind of like rounding up in a way. :S Also, some of the processing that the juice goes through can strip it of vitamins, just like if you boil veggies! :D

I had no theory the Taco Bell Fruitista Freeze had something man made in it, you won't be able to tell. i'm no longer very prepared on any pop drinks as i'm able to flavor those poor sweeteners, yet I had a variety of Freeze's only final week. It grow to be scrumptious! no longer too candy, as i do in contrast to that, yet so organic tasting only like genuine fruit. No, extra appropriate than genuine fruit! The chunks of strawberries have been genuine and so tasty and mushy. whether there are man made flavours interior the drink, I shall have it every time i'm able to, because it fairly is by employing some distance, the tastiest fruit drink I even have EVER had, even from England! and that i do attempt those every time i'm able to. as long as you do no longer drink one daily, it ought to no longer harm you, in spite of man made flavours. components latest in a beef burger, or sausage, is plenty WORSE!

Keep it simple. It means its flavor was extracted from actual fruits, not chemicals.
