It's been good for me to network with like minded people and be educated by people of different faiths. I've earned great respect for pagans, wiccans, spiritualists, and pantheists. I still can't spell it right, but Asatruar is also very interesting. The people have been great. We can all discuss differences in a civilized manner. Lovin it.

IMPROVED
I have spent many years collecting faiths and philosophies. I believe I was trying to find a system fit my lifestyle and beliefs; in the name of knowledge.
Yahoo has placed me in a situation where I can see the endless views , sides, ideas, beliefs as well as the power of rage, anger, love, defensiveness, devotion related to religious debate.. .
It always seemed that overall religious themes are consistent across the board but the politics are shocking and often closed.
Yahoo answers has me working on a spiritual and mindful place, open and aware, seeing that there is no single correct answer readily available for everyone to agree on.
I heard as a child a saying that I will never forget, however, that journey from the brain to the gut can take years even ...... thanks to the diversity and perseverance of members in the community; I feel it; it is instinctual and not just in my "data base":
'Religion is for people who do not want to go to hell and spirituality is for those who have already been there'.

Most of the time it's just fundamentalists argueing with atheists which is quite fun.
But I also discovered Unitarian Universalism on this site. I had never heard of it before. It didn' change my beliefs, but they changed my view on religious people. From the little I know of them, I find them very appealing. They have a very rational and tolerant approach to religion. I like that.

Every once in a while a little tick of unknown fact sneaks through the memorized propaganda. It would take a mountain of new truths to quiver the deep waters of the Lore. However, I am learning more of the followers of various beliefs--in that many follow, but have no true belief, only habits.

Yes, because it has given me an easier outlet to witness for Christ. Whether anything I've ever said has touched someone's heart, only that someone and God knows. I've also seen that the Holy Spirit can work through me and come up with some answers I didn't even know until I started typing. It's definitely improved my face and my ability to witness.

lol...I think it's been good for everyone's beliefs...in that, i mean they are diminishing. Because the goal of Yahoo answers is to provide answers and increase knowledge. The smarter people get the less they believe in the "tooth fairy", obviously...

Some of the questions on here have made me think about my life and realize that I am doing things wrong and that I needed to start going back to church.
