I will need both. Do you know about how much the charge might be for both?

Thanks

The only alterations I will need is some (very little) taken in at the waist and bust. I think the bustle I am going with is called over-bustle (more simple than a layered bustle I think)... I'm not really sure on the terms... actually, I have no idea what I'm talking about. lol

When I did my alterations there, I had the bust taken in and had two bustles in the back.I am not sure how much was for each individual alteration but I paid $160.00 for all of them.

Hope this helps.

When I was at David's Bridal, they weren't too happy when I told them I would not have my alterations done there. First of all, they are extremely over priced. They told me if I took my dress out of the store, they were not responsible for it, and then they kinda stopped helping me. In a nutshell, I wasn't happy with my overall experience.

Find a local seamstress. Call up a locally owned bridal shop and ask if they can suggest anyone.

Also go to more rural areas. Usually the bigger the city, the higher the cost.

It depends on what all alterations you need done. The bustle is different wether you're getting a standard bustle (I think is $25) or french bustle ($35).

Davids bridal is expensive for alterations. I didn't need much done and it was as much as the dress. So I found a lady in my town that did it for $17. I would find somewhere else to get it done.

Depends on what you are having done. Everything is different, from how much the hem needs to be shortened, to whether the straps need to be altered, whether the dress is being let out or taken in. Each seperate thing costs a different amount, usually based on how much fabric they are working with, how the dress was put together, and how much time it will take them.

Bustle... not sure. I guess it would depend on what kind you want.

WAY too much!

Find someone locally who can do it. David's makes their money on alterations. My mother is a seamstress and she sees more David's Bridal dresses than anything else and everyone just goes mad over their prices!

Good luck!!!

almost as much as the dress itself. just went through that also at Davids bridal. The dress turned out amazing on my daughter and was worth every cent to have her look and feel like a princess. They do beautiful work there.
