why does it feel wrong to feel that God is also responsible for the wrongs too? I know about Satan, our own bad choices and letdowns, lessons to be learned from bad, etc. etc. but I feel that if we give credit to God for good, isn't he somehow also involved in the bad that enters our lives too?

You have to remember that we live in a fallen world. And Jesus told us in this life we would have tribulation (troubles). But there is a guarantee that a born again Christian has. In any trouble, God uses whatever circumstances come along to refine us into fine gold. The bible tells us the testing of our faith produces character, perseverence and hope. One of the real tests of faith is to praise God in our dark times as well as in the good times. Nothing that ever enters our life, as a Christian, comes to us without God's foreknowledge. And, as He promises, He will work all things for good.

I know where you're coming from and to an extent, I used to feel that way too. We do not and can not, understand all the things about God. Sometimes we are given sort of tests. Adam and Eve were tested when told not to eat the fruit of one tree. They failed the test. There is an old saying "the strongest steel goes through the hottest fire" The more heat and stress on the metal, the stronger it becomes. It can be like that with us too. Will we still be faithful to God even when bad things happen to us? Should we give Him glory only when good things come our way? There is a good book called "Why Bad Things Happen To Good People" that will answer some of your questions and give you aid. Also read the book of Job and some of the things Paul wrote in Romans, Ephesians, and Corinthians. These writings will give you a lot of help and answer your questions. I can't express these things nearly as good as they did and besides that, it would take way to long for me to try and do so. Please read these writings. I know for sure they will help you. God Bless....

Good graces that come to you come from the good and right things you choose to do. Sometimes there are graces that falls easily on your lap even when you think you have not done anything yet. You may just happen to have been pleasantly standing right before the eyes of God but those kind of gift are expected for you to be making more of a right choice in going about your life something like an advance payment or a capital to start with.
The same thing as when you try so hard to achieve something and you fail, it is not that God deny you that grace, maybe you just made a wrong judgement on the kind of choice you did. Maybe it is not the kind of choice that will cater to what you have in mind. So, no matter how much you try, then like a dress that does not fit, you have to change wardrobe. Unless you are doing wicked things; then, maybe God will not even look at you. Never think of it as if He puts His wrath on you. Sometimes wicked people on earth seems to be enjoying the fruits of their wicked works. Do not envy them and not even despise them, because whatever is it that they reaped on an improperly sown ground, it will not last. And definitely they will make mistake somehow and loose it. It is always your right choice, no choice or wrong choice that will be the cause of your fate.

You don't really know what is good and what is bad? God knows best. Read this story. A businessman has to go to another country to sign in a deal which is worth a million. So he books a ticket. But due to traffic he failed to reach the airport in time and misses the flight. He said in the airport " This is the most unlucky day in my life.". When he was coming back to home from the airport, he switched on the radio in his car. There was a breaking news.
The flight that has just took of ( the one that the businessman booked a ticket ) has crashed. The businessman shouted " This is my luckiest day ever!" . See the difference. So God knows better. Somethings that happen to you, you may feel it is bad for you. But something good might be behind it. And remember good and bad they both are from God and they both are tests for the hereafter.

I don't believe God is responsible for bad things that happen. I do believe He allows bad things to happen...in the sense that He doesn't always prevent them from happening. But I also believe he can bring good things out of the bad. God is completely good. He cannot do bad things. All bad comes from the curse, free will, satan, people, etc.

"... Imagine a bear in a trap and a hunter who, out of sympathy, wants to liberate him. He tries to win the bear's confidence, but he can't do it, so he has to shoot the bear full of drugs. The bear, however, thinks this is an attack and that the hunter is trying to kill him. He doesn't realize that this is being done out of compassion.
"Then, in order to get the bear out of the trap, the hunter has to push him further into the trap to release the tension on the spring. If the bear were semiconscious at that point, he would be even more convinced that the hunter was his enemy who was out to cause him suffering and pain. But the bear would be wrong. He reaches this incorrect conclusion because he's not a human being."

We're not God, and we don't understand how He's healing us through pain and suffering.

It's important to know that God has a plan for us. Everything happens for a reason. These bad things are only bumps in the road that will lead you to something new and exciting.

If not for these bad things how else would you be grateful for the wonderful things that happen? Bad things are bound to happen....and they will break some people...but you have to be stronger and allow for God to work out his plan for you.

You are free to thank God for the good and the bad as all things work toward the good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose...greater he that is in me than he that is in the world. The Good News is the Gospel that no matter the things you may suffer in this world you have a greater eternal life that is promised according to the atonement provided by God through Jesus Christ our lord.
