is it a veggie or a bean. i wanted a balanced meal, but i don't know if it's considered as the meat or veggie group. the back of bag says 5 a day.

Green beans are not a meat, they are a vegetable. It doesn't
matter how they are cut. They are carbohydrates. Meat is
protein.

French cut is just a way to cut the beans, not a specific type of bean. All beans are generally included in the legume family, which is not necessarily a vegetable (but is often considered one) and definitely not a meat.
