Look here ladies, I'm naturally a size 3, whatever I eat, whatever I do, I'm a size three. I get seriously offended when you all start bashing slender girls and saying that "real women have curves...blah blah blah" What? I'm not a real woman cause I'm not a size 12? Heck, I gave birth to twin boys, how much more woman can I get?? My question is, why all the hate? Is it to make yourself feel better or something? Is there some deep rooted issues about your own weight that lead you to make hurtful statements about thin women, not being real women? It annoys me, whats the real reason you do it?

Not all curvy women do that. I am curvy... I'm a size 6/8.. small waist.. large chest and hips. became more so after having kids (gained 2 inches on my hip size!) Im sure some women do it because they are jealous and its a way to put you down without looking like they are being bitchy... You must realise there is hate BOTH ways. Skinny women hate on larger women just as much.. so until BOTH sides stop, theres nothing anyone can do about it. Besides, its human nature to compete.

I think some curvy women have probably been teasing you right?
Not all are like that...
i think the only "hating" going on is when the media portrays that u gotta be a size 0 to be "in"...and thats just not cute at all. I don't know many guys who look at nicole richie who is like a -0 and say man shes hot....shes a bag of bones.
i can wear a size 3-5 ...i was a size 1 about a year ago, and i HATED being sooo skinny so i tried gaining weight and i have never felt better about myself now that i got some curves! =) I love seeing real women with curves portrayed more in the media...Like Beyonce...she looks amazing.

I'm 5'4 and I weight about 130-ish and i am curvy! My weight, my height or my curves doesn't make me a real woman! I'm a real woman because of how I carry myself and the things I do daily. I disagree with the curvy women saying that real woman have curves. I was thin for most of my life but not by choice, it was because I played many sports daily and I burned the fat right off daily. I'm just not putting on some pounds and i love my new size but it has nothing to do with me being a real woman! If you are happy with your size and you are healthy thats all that matters!

I agree with Danielle, I personally think women are taking out their frustrations on the fact that smaller sizes are portrayed as 'hot' and now even sizes 6 and 8 are suddenly perceived as big in Hollywood. I know it's wrong, but imagine being happy with your size 8 figure and then suddenly being told nope, that's not good enough, you have to be less than a size 4 or you are not acceptable and we will make fun of you for not being stick thin. This is what leads to eating disorders. I don't even want to be a size 4, but I keep having it bashed into me that I should be. I try not to hate on anyone, but can you see how this can mess with someone's head.

And then you have comments like from the girl above boasting about being 14% body fat, which might I add is close to being in the danger zone. Her friend with 30% body fat is not 'disgusting', what kind of person disses their friend like that? If she is a size 4 with a higher body fat percentage, it's more a case of not having enough muscle than being too fat. Maybe like a lot of women out there, she succumbled to the pressures to be thin and starved herself to be size 4, losing muscle and thefore raising her body fat percentage. Is it any wonder with friends like the poster above? Jeez!

I also think you and some of the other posters here are just as bad as the women hating on you. It goes both ways you know. Talk about pot and kettle.

You all need to stop hating on each other and be happy with yourselves.

Take care : )

honey a word of advice people will always have something to say whether you're curvy or skinny what really matters is how you view yourself and are comfortable in your own skin it sounds to me that you have issues with yourself embrace your thinness because thats who you are and who the heck cares what the next person says let it be all about you

and for the record im a size 6 and i love my body to bits and obviously there are some days when i wish my boobs were a bit bigger and stuff but thats just part of being a woman

Well I have had people bothering me about my weight my whole life. First I was too skinny and then I was too fat. I do not like people talking or focusing on my weight. When I was skinny I know what you mean about people being mean. Then when I gained weight people talked about that. Just be happy and healthy at the weight you are at and celebrate your assets. When I was tiny I had assets and now I do too.

Try not to worry about what people say. Many people have something bad to say, so you cannot really win either way. Just win by ignoring them. You are past high school most likely so you are over the worst of it.

WHO CARES!!! If you are thin, great for you! If you are not thin and are happy, great for you! I find that sizes and weights are crap anyways. It doesn't show health at all. I know a size 4 girl with 30% bodyfat!!! That to me is disguting. How can you disrescpect your body like that? What drives me crazy, and I expect to be chastised for this, are large women who take 2 hours getting ready. You won't leave your house without your makeup on, but you don't even respect yourself enough to put down that damn sugary snack. Take care of yourself, inside and out. That is a real woman!

P.S. size freakin' 4, 5'7", 127 lbs, 14% bodyfat. Don't hate, I'm in the gym every single day! Since I knew we were all wondering for our cat-fight.

I am sure your a pretty girl ... but please don't take this kind of trite stuff personally. Focus on your spirit and think good things. I am sure your a real woman. Now go take a nice hot bubble bath with your favorite magazine some Ben and Jerrys or a nice Merlot relax and remember what a good person you are. Here's a Big Hug and I am sorry your hurting.

ok, i'm a size 2- 4 so i'm not curvy, but i think that everyone makes fun of what they're not to make them feel better. a size 12 woman may look at a size 4 and say "oh she must be anorexic", because she feels self conscious about her own body. but there are many women who are skinny and make negative comments about curvy women, like "oh, she must eat everything she sees" so i think it goes both ways.

I had been slim all my life ... and in my battle against thyroid cancer, I've gained a lot of weight. Therefore, I've been on both sides of the spectrum ... and I tell you, women with "curves" or over-weight are hated on much more, than slim women. Don't let it bother you so much PeachPie ... if you constantly worry about what other people say about you, you're going to worry your whole life away. It doesn't matter whether we're skinny, fat, pretty or otherwise ... there's always going to be someone who hates you or I, it doesn't matter. :)
