When I'm upset with people, they're unwantedly & intrusively pictured in my mind, & I want them out of my mind, & can't get them out. I try to block it out by looking @ a picture of my 2 favorite celebrities, & their ugly faces STILL overpower the celebrities' cute faces. How can I get these ugly dirtbags out of my mind if I try to replace them with cute photos, & the ugly faces overpowers the cute faces in my mind? NO, I DO NOT want the ugly people's faces in my mind, so don't even try to say that.

Do you have a hobby that requires extreme concentration? Something that will take your mind off of these people? Maybe you could try that. Or some sort of physical activity. I know it sounds crazy - when I am upset and need to distract myself so I can refocus, I either do yard work or deep clean the messiest room in my house, and if that doesn't do it (or it's raining and my house is clean) I bake (usually bread, so I can punch and knead it). When I do yard or housework I pick a particular area and block it off mentally and do it (like an imaginary square in my yard to rake or mow) then I bust my @ss doing it. I feel good from the endorphins I stimulate from the physical activity, and I also get an immediate gratification from being able to see immediate results. If baking, well I get to eat them.
