It's a good idea to cook the apples ahead of time... that way, if it's too wet you can strain them or if you want a nice, saucy pie you can thicken the liquid with a slurry of 1 tsp cornstarch in 1 Tbsp cold water (cook to desired thickness).

The first time I made an apple pie, this happened to me too. After that, I just cooked my pie filling beforehand. This also helps with getting the filling to taste just how you want it--I've found that most apple pie filling recipes are either too spiced or not spiced enough for my tastes. ^_^ Good luck!

I take the apples and toss them with flour and apple pie spice, the fllour kind of coats the apples and makes a nice pie. You dont want too much though or it will taste a bit custardy. The other thing is that there are some brands of apples that are better for baking, some will give off less juice for pie making. Here is a website I get my info off of.
As for that already done pie, you can just chalk one up to experience as we all have.

You can let is set some. Or next time cook the apples before hand and then finish them off in the oven with the pie crust.

next time add a tsp or two of flour to your apples and sugar mix it will help thicken up your sauce. I dont know what recipe you used but we never add any liquid to the apples except a little lemon juice.

Were the apples frozen. that will cause a watery pie. How much liquid did you add. I would suggest you cut back on the liquid..

put it in the oven on low heat to try evaporate the liquid. Next time, provide holes for the steam from the filling to escape rather than stay in the pie.

it is going to take up interior the pie crust and the crust isn't as crusty as a crust must be. i admire crusty crust on my pie. A pie and not making use of a crust isn't a pie, and a pie and not making use of a crusty crust is pudding. stable success with that pie!
