General Pace I salute you Sir for you stance on moral values in the military.Pace compares homosexuallity to adultery and it is morally wrong.Recently Congressman Barry Frank stated that if the military was so afraid of homosexuals our enemies could get a group of lesbians to chase us out of Iraq. This scum of a coward who has never fought in a war in his life is the one who should apologize.Yet Gen. Pace is the only one to recieve any muk about all of this.Congressman Frank disgraced our men and woman who fight for us by saying what he did, I guess he forgot. Our fighting Men and Woman don't run from nothing. When did morals make you a coward ?

Why is it wrong to say homosexuallity is wrong ? We can say adultery is wrong and thats okay.Being morally wrong is wrong and should not be excepted at any level.

Skeptic why do you feel that you have more of a right to voice your moral opinion than a four star General. If anyone has earned the right to have an opinion it should be this man.Or is he supposed to shut up so the gays can talk ????

He SHOULDNT apologize for the way he feels. And nobody, not gay activists, not respresentatives of the members of the military who are gay, not the general american population....NOBODY should tell him what he should and should not feel and think.
And I am glad he wont apologize! I personally feel that homosexuality is NOT immoral, but I understand the policy about not being openly gay in the military (my husband is Army). But if I said something that other people didnt agree with, and it was how I truly felt, I wouldnt apologize either.

A month from now I hope to be in the Marine Corps.
I don't know any homosexual people, except for my calculus teacher and one other person.
I am a Christian so I love everyone.
My minister and deacons say this is wrong.
My fiance says it is wrong.
But a neighbor of mine says that there are already homosexual people in the Marine Corps.
General Pace said it was like adultery. This is what my minister said.
I never see anything about this on the Military Channel at home.
Did General Pace write any books?

i think of it relies upon on what potential he became making this assertion of hate and bigotry. As there's a coverage "do no longer Ask/Don's tell", i might ask your self whether he has broken some rule in-which that would seem asking. the two way he's a hateful ingrate that my taxes have been helping in the time of his time interior the militia. and that i might want to seek for remuneration from those bigots who do no longer symbolize me. those are my taxes .. i will besides have a say interior the subject. you're surprising, DBD! i've got by no ability heard of the previous fart until this previous weekend. Why do I care? he's all washed-up in any case!

Have you ever noticed that some people "flip flop" back and forth on the subject of honoring military service? First, they honor Pace because he served, but not Barney Frank. Then they honor Bush because he didn't serve, but not Kerry, who did. Then they honor McCain because he served, but still honor Cheney who got five deferments. It kind of shifts around, doesn't it? Seems like you just use it when it suits you.
In other words, why is Barney Frank a coward because he never fought in a war but Bush and Cheney are honorable? They never fought in a war either!
And let's put it this way: if you were a blond, how would you feel if the head of your entire organization held a press conference to say that blonds were immoral and shouldn't be in his organization?

At least Gen. Pace took the focus away from the disaster in Iraq by rehashing the same old song and dance.
Perhaps Gen. Pace made a propaganda statement to demonstrate to the stubborn Iraqi insurgency that the US has freedom of speech and that Iraq could have the same freedom if they stopped blowing up cars and Humvees.

I would love to know when did having a opinion became illegal the man answer a question on how he felt and the world becomes angry because he doesn't support the world's opinion of gay life style being right and I'm sick and tried of gays forcing there life choice down Americans throats. if that is what you like to do then it's you
I don't want to turn on Oprah and have senators saying to young people it's OK to come out and live this way

I do not agree with him, but isn't there a First Amendment that gives him that right? And I am sure that General Pace has earned that right. So every body just needs to stop the sniveling, suck it up, drive on. If you can, enlist and fight in this war, or shut up!

When the military introduced the "don't ask, don't tell policy", Colin Powell was very clear in his testimony before congress that the military has no interest in passing moral judgments about this.
General Peter Pace violated the "don't ask, don't tell" policy by declaring his own sexual persuasion. The general needs to follow the "don't ask, don't tell" policy himself and avoid making personal and moral judgments.
Doesn't think the military has enough problems without creating new ones?

This man did nothing wrong. Homosexuality IS immoral. Since when has homosexuality become a race? It's being treated as a racial issue, requiring people who have negative things to say about gays to go to therapy? Give me a break. If anyone needs therapy, its the homosexuals. And for the record, lest anyone ask...you were not born that way! Since when is it a crime to speak tour mind?

Booyaaa!! He doesnt have to apologize. he can quit. He can do alot of things. But if your in charge of something and you make a mess you have to clean up. Realizing the truth that there are plenty of gays in the military you dont want them all spazed out over this kind of thing when you actually have a war to fight.
