I just saw some pictures of these spiders and I just wanted to know how often you see Camel Spiders.

It really just depends on what part of the country you are in. I spent a reasonable amount of time in the capital city of Riyadh, and never seen one. Although in the more remote areas they are a common thing to see. I had seen some out near the Kuwait border, and a lot all over Kuwait. So once again it depends upon the location, but they are there!

When I was over in the desert I usually saw them daily. Most of the ones I saw were about 3-4 inches long, but did see one that was quite a bit bigger than that on guard duty one night. We would catch camel spiders and scorpions and have "death matches" with them. It was always 50-50 with winning.

If you are referring to the pictures of the soldiers with spiders as big as their legs that is a hoax. They are big but not THAT big.
