What is going on here, did I mess up?
I got a little upset when I found out thatthe guy I very recently met and started talking to is moving out of state, closer to his ex. I told him my suspicions about why he was moving closer to her, and I told him I thought we shouldn't see each other if that was the case.... and he denied it. So, I apologized to him for coming down so judgemental on him, and he said OK..and I said maybe we can get together soon, after all (he had asked me out before I got upset) We talked on the phone for almost two hours. Does it sound like I freaked him out a little? He told me he thought it was mean that I didn't want to talk to him in the beginnign when I found out about him moving.

It does sound like you scared him a little bit. Long distance relationships are hard, especially when there are exes lurking around. I'd try to just talk to him every once in a while and see how things go. You did say that you recently just met him, so it might be really hard to become serious if you guys can't see each other a lot.

Best of luck.

Julia, you don't start a relationship with someone who just told you he is moving out of state to be closer to his ex. You didn't say he wanted to be closer to his children but closer to his ex. H-e-l-l-o: is anyone home? Does it take a house to fall on your head. Is he the only guy in town? Or are you being just a little too needy? hmmmmmmm forget him he is moving out of state to be near his ex. Good luck -k-

Why do you care what he thinks?

He's moving out of state. Does he think you will wait for him? Do you think you could wait for him? I think you very clearly demonstrated that you want a relationship that's got a chance, not a distance challenged one.

I think you need to let him know that the relationship he has with you is of the temporary kind. Don't invest too much into it. have fun.

He must not be that into you if he is moving out of state. End it before it gets started. What's the point? Find someone who wants to be with you.

Have you read "He's Just Not That Into You"? Sounds like you could learn a lot from reading it.

Was he relocating for a job or to be closer to his family? Don't get jealous until he sends out signals that he wants to break things off. Try to trust him and give him the benefit of being a good guy. Try to suppress the jealousy.
