I agree with you. I think 90% time, people just are scared or the problems are such that they don't want to talk in person to doctors...I think it can be good business opportunity or social opportunity for doctors by providning online services.....to such people/patients.

I personally don't want to waste a doctor's time with minor ailments that I can sort out on here. If it's something serious I would go to a doctor. Sometimes people just want reassurance that something is 'normal', or to find out if something is actually worth going to a doctor for. Most people asking questions here are looking for advice, not a medical diagnosis.

Health is a luxury not many people can afford. You used the word medic, so I'm guessing you're Canadian or a Brit. Both places have universal health care. Not everywhere has that.
If you don't have insurance in the US, whatever might be going on with your body might not be as scary as a huge medical bill- especially if you're living paycheck to paycheck.

Your question isn't a question, but rather a judgemental statement.
Sometimes people need reassurance that they aren't the only person in the world that feels as they do. Sometimes they hope to learn from other people's experiences. Sometimes they just want to connect.

i think they're trying to see if their condition requires medical attention. sometimes, you see a symptom and it freaks you out because you think it may be a sign to a bigger disease, however, it isnt. it helps to get feedback also so you can bring up your thoughts to the doctor as well.
