I would pursue my dream. Money doesn't buy happiness. It's no fun just sitting and enjoying the view, achieving something is much more fulfilling. See "the pursuit of happyness"

To be honest, I would quit work the moment I found myself pregnant with our first child and remain at home until they have flown the nest.

I am a firm believer that a woman should be at home with the children and actively bemoan what was done to us in the 50's by the onset of feminism and playboyism. Teenagers need a mother at home almost more than toddlers. By that time, my dreams and goals and the world would have changed and I would have different ideas of how to live.

Women's lib sold us ALL, men and women alike, a crappy bill of goods. So I would feel NO GUILT whatsoever to be a stay at home mom, barefoot and pregnant and quite content.

Might I say regarding "brains and skills". As a woman who was a full time mother I find that attitude to be both condescending and based on ignorance of what parenting involves. Being a good mother uses these things in abundance. Please do not say that it is a job for dummies. It is that elitist attitude which shames women from finding fulfillment in other ways than marriage and often ending up alone and bitter.

It depends of the dream you had. You won't have to dream about wealth now, but you could pursue some goals as well. Maybe getting higher education, learning new languages, acquiring properties of your own... Even if you won't work, or work part time or even do voluntary work, is always a good idea to better yourself. If your goal is possible and worth go for it. You won't have to make chores after all.

It depends on how possible it is to reach that dream. It is not always a fun life to be rich... Life is about reaching goals, and fulfilling them.

Definitely pursue my goal. Things like goals and dreams are what make life satisfying.
My goal is to help others anyway.

If you have everything that you want, you will become bored. And of course you will still chase your goal. Our goals in life will never end. Even for Bill Gates.

if ur goal is to be rich then do that, if ur goal is something else then do that. The real question is will having ur goal make u happy, and if so then do it. Follow ur intuition.

Well, to begin with... rich or not, if I could not retain my own dreams, I wouldn't have married him.
