What's the worst that can happen if I go for a few days eating around 750 calories? Because I have been now since last week and I feel funny tonight, like my chest feels kind of heavy and It feels funny when I breathe, I also feel extremely tired, weak and dizzy. I just ate a banana in hopes that it would make me feel better. What should I do? Please no rude answers, I am bi polar and struggle w/ other emotional issues as well, but I can't afford the meds for them. I guess my eating so little is a way of trying to control one aspect of my life. Thanks for your comments.

well, whats happening, is your body is sayin help we need more calories! You blood sugar is low, thats where the dizziness and fatigue come from. So basically the short answer is to eat more, If you cut your normal caloric intake by 400 calories...based on a 2000 calorie diet, you will lose weight the safe way, around 1 pound a week, if you put exercise into the mix, then it skyrockets, the loss of wieght that is. So even though you have the right idea, and you are workin hard, your body is going into starvation mode. That is, your actually reversing your progress. At first it is effective, but Ive been working out many years, and am in the medical field, I can tell you that, when you exercise you actually eat more, yet lose more weight than if you starve yourself....hope this helps hun, Aaron

Your metabolism is slowing down... Worst that can happen-- assuming you are not anorexic and severely underweight already, is that your body will go into starvation mode and stop burning a lot of calories... That will make you feel tired with a lack of energy...

You are probably much better off with 1500 calories a day and some exercise.. or maybe even more than that... Just get onto a reasonable diet and try not to think about it... You probably won't notice much difference for a couple of weeks but then you will see the pounds start to tumble.

You defeat your plan when you make your body work on less calories. When you start to eat again you will gain even more weight because your body will know how to run on less and thus make more fat.
