When a girl suddenly starts touching her hair [without looking at you] when you go near her. This girl at work was seated in the cafetaria and I went to the water dispenser which 'incidentally' was next to her table and as I bent down to take some water, she suddenly started stroking her hair. Means anything or am I just pushing my luck too much? Any other signs to look out for? I dont even know her name and she sits in a different floor. What excuse can I find to go talk to her? Accidentally bumping into her anywhere else in the office is a remote possibility. Girls, please help if you can.

If you look at a woman from behind,they sense it and will preen their hair.I have seen it too often to put it down to co-incidence.The only way to find out if she is interested is to bite the bullet,son.One suggestion,be yourself.You are young and there are lots of women out there.You can't get a hit if you don't take a swing.

Girls are more interested in how they appear to you therefore when they notice some guy noticing them, they start to think how they look and they start with the hair thing.
Break the ice by saying something like....dang, Im really lost in this new company. I dont understand some of the things they do....do you know what I mean? How long have you been working here? good luck

Talk to her during lunch or just wait by the girls bathrrom most girls in my school go there at least 4 times a day and stay a while so thats a very good place, of course have an excuse

This is good, she's obviously showing signs that shes attracted to you :) I would try and make a connection FIRST outside of work if you can, its always hard to start something and keep it going especially at work. And if you casually bump into her somewhere im sure she'll notice and remember that you work with her. . . Im not too sure, how to go about setting up this lil 'coincidental' meeting, but find out her name first! get to know a few of her friends or find someone that knows a little about her. .. good luck

If she sneaks glances at you and you notice it, she is definantly checking you out. But sometimes, the girl is too scared to even look at you.
Watch her if you are in the same cafeteria and she cant see you to see if she strokes her hair a lot. If not, go by the water dispenser occasionally and randomly-then see if she still strokes her hair or smiles at you, etc.

You know the whole stroking the hair thing can mean something and it can also mean that she has something in her hair...it varies. Why do you need an excuse? But if you do need an excuse..please dont bump into her that is not a good "excuse" it makes you look clumsy!!!

Did she look at you while she rubbed her hair? Well I am a female and I know that when a girl is interested, she will not hide it. She will smile when she sees you and if you ask her to lunch or something she will say yes- The only way for you to know is by asking her, make the move man- I like a bold guy...;)
She is probably wondering about you too, who knows right? If you like her, try man..

OK. This probably means she has a crush on you. If you just go talk to her (we realy like that), when you go get water say hi and strike up a conversation. That's a way to flater her.

It could mean that she is interested. Introduce yourself or you will never know!! Just talk to her!! If you talk to her, you will get a better vibe of what she's thinking. Maybe she plays with her hair a lot or maybe she thinks you are HOT! Find out. You can't pick a girl up if you never talk to her.

ruling out the fact it may have been just because she wanted to touch her hair???
'OR'
she did notice you, she just wanted to look busy, and not just to sit there like a dumby and do nothing,
plus for girls, hair is a bit of a security blanket as well, you may have been making her feel uneasy, she may be attracted to you!
But really my advise would be go and talk to her! just approach her, say something like" hi I'm......., iv noticed you around and i think your really pretty,Id love to get to know you, can i buy you a drink sometime?" girls love confidence...not to be con fussed with arrogance either....
you never know, she could be your soul mate!
