I don't think anyone could ignore something like that. I don't know if anyone would say anything about it though, other than to ask how the mother of the bride was doing. Hopefully someone would call the cops on the drunken woman, or at least have her removed from the reception at that point. I'd call the cops, because in most states, that's known as assault and battery, and that's a felony in all 50 states.

If anyone were that drunk, I would make sure they left the reception. This sounds like something that is being planned. If I were the bride or groom and this happened, I would have them arrested, press charges, and sue for the cost of the reception as well as pain and suffering for humiliating me at my wedding. Then I'm sure no one would ignore it.

some might, but not everyone. I was at a wedding where the mom of the bride and the mom of the groom got into a fist fight......it lasted no more then 30 sec. but EVERYONE talked about it!
