If a Police Officer gets into a chase with a motorcycle and the motorcycle happens to evade the officer. What happens after the chase? This is a discussion some of us are having here at the Fire Station and now have started a arguement about it

I suppose it depends on how observant the police officer was whilst chasing the motorcycle. If the driver of the motorcycle was wanted over something very serious, the police officer should have been trying to take down the number plate of the motorcycle. Then when and if he didn't catch him/her he could go back to the police station and check out the registration to see who the owner was and where he/she lived. Then get a warrant to arrest the person concerned. Even if it was not a serious matter the motorcyclist is still in trouble for not stopping in the first place. It's just common sense.

in my view... if he replaced into being chased at severe speeds... he has no rights... your meant to quit! at the same time as requested by ability of an officer... in case you dont your breaking the regulation...... the officer did what he had to lead away from human beings from being damage... i'm sorry your buddy is injured yet I even ought to area with reason right here... he may have run off the line if he wasnt going over 100MPH in a severe % chase... Im so drained of criminals searching fault in the equipment and prevailing huge settlements.at the same time as truthfully there have been DOING some thing criminal firstly! were is personaly liablity, integrity and honor in this united states! back sorry your buddy is damage yet YA! officer!

If we get into a pursuit with a motorcyle rider, we usually will continue to pursue depending on road conditions/hazards/traffic. Obviously we cant place out a tac strip ! We will probably get flight support and advise outside agencies where the mc rider is headin twrds and maybe they can intervene. If we do call it off, we will make contact with the rider at their residence (if we kno who the rider is or have a license plate #)...and will keep a look out for the mc rider..

In the State of Texas If someone excessively speeding on a motorbike the cops can't do anything because it is a death wish on the biker part.
