Every time I hear some religious person talk bad about evolution, they always scream, "I did not evolve from a mokey!!!" Well DUH. Do you realized the sheer number of animals that probably came between us and the monkey? It wasn't a straight jump. We didn't one day sit on the tree branch eating a banana and in 2 seconds jump down and put on a suit and go to work. Things take TIME!!! Why can't people understand this?

By the way, the entire "the earth is only 6 thousand years old" is not a valid argument, considering it's been proven wrong about a billion and times.

Good question. These people do not take the time to learn about science. They would rather cling to their superstitions, which evolution destroys. Dumb really.

i don't think you should hold all christians accountable for the whole 6000 year thing.
evolution doesnt sit with me at all. well macro evolution anyways. i can see adaption taking place
but please explain to me why you think natural selection plays any part in the macroscopic world when a supposed "mutation" occures for the better. last time i checked the biology books. genetic mutation was a bad thing. and if you can explain that one.please try and explain to me where and how that 1st cell started. ie chemical evolution theory. do you really think a bunch of amino acids hit eachother by chance (mind you an extremely unlikely chance) a couple of billion years ago and sparked something that we call life today, and became more and more complex just because it felt like it? information does not arise from no information. it doesnt make sense. a couple of amino acids cannot spring life without design. does any order arise from chaos. no its quite the contrary, only chaos arises from order. a little observation called the second law of thermodynamics. without sounding pompous
i suggest you do some research.
and btw. people cant understand this for the same reason i cant understand atheistic perspectives of science. because it doesnt make sense. i hope i have been no offence. i thought i'd just lay out my opinion.
and another thing before i go.
from what i've read i've learnt that evolution is progressive and not selective.
this is why neanderthals co-existed with Cro-Magnons. just thought i'd add that.

And where are all these animals that came between? We still have monkeys we still have people where are the hybrids. I believe in natural selection meaning animals can adapt to there environment but to believe that an animal can completely change species is absurd. Also the six thousand year old thing what make you think gods measurements of time and ours is the same. To try and think like god is ignorant and to think you are the highest form of life in the universe is egotistical.

Geological time works in hundreds of millions of years. The sheer amount of time involved is one of the biggest hurdles in truly understanding evolution. It is sad that the Church grossly oversimplifies the amount of time involved in evolution in an attempt to destroy any understanding of the theory. Most of the time, I hear Christians screaming, "I DID NOT EVOLVE FROM AN AMOEBA!!!" Which is, of course, even more ridiculous.

You mention religious people bad mouthing evolution. What about all the scientists that are abandoning the theory? Even if they don't believe in creationism, they are starting to admit that they can't make the theory of evolution fly.

christians are absurd they cannot think clearly for them evolving from apes, mean that when they get married they should invite all the monkeys in the zoo not to miss any relative...they talk about infinity and eternity but they cannot think of evolution as something happening over a period of millions of years they think it happened last month

Poor educational system combined with refusal to understand...(I blame that infamous "evolution of man" chart)
sigh, too the answerer below...the "missing link" is a myth, please stop using it as any type of evidence against evolution...honestly, I know that no matter what creationist read or learn, they will continue to refuse to understand.

That argument is worse for Evolution. Instead of having to find one missing link you have to find 100 million years worth of missing links.

I say something like that just for fun because I know it ticks people.
I believe in the Bible record. Genesis is God's eyewitness account on what happened in the beginning. However we go here, God was behind it.
