Usually after I run for about a half hour I start to feel really dizzy, feel like I'm going to throw up and almost pass out. But this happens all of the time. I drink plenty of water throughout the day and eat all of my meals. I also start to feel shaky and yesterday I just fell down and started to get blurred vision. What causes this and what can I do about it?

The symptoms your talking about is that of a newer runner. I think you should run for less time and work your way up.Eat light before you run instead of heavy foods..Is it too hot out when you go for your run? Try a different time. Do you smoke? That can mess your breathing up and make you dizzy. If you aren't a new runner, I believe you really should go see a doctor and tell the doctor what the symptoms are. I hope you feel better.

You say that you drink plenty of water throughout the day, yet these symptoms seem to be along the lines of dehydration. Drinking "alot" of water may not be the right amount. Professional runners, like Alan Webb, drink about 8 gallons of water a day. That does sound ridiculous, but your body might need more water to keep you from being dehydrated. As a very serious athlete myself, I drink about 1.5 gallons of water in a period of 60-90 minutes, continually about 4 or 5 times throught the day. Personally, that is what is able to sustain me. Perhaps drinking more water than you are now could help relieve these symptoms. You should see your doctor and get their opinion on this problem.

go see your doctor and ask him to pass a blood test.

So you have to check with the doc and do tests.
