Sometimes I sit and think about everything I can possible think of. If someone said something to me earlier in the day, I'll go to bed and think about until I make the worst situation out of it. Is that normal or is there something wrong with me?

It's closer to the norm than you would believe - but it's not good.
When I catch myself going to that 'attitude', I pick up a book, go for a walk, call my mom (that always helps) or some other family member, or I try to do something that takes my mind off me. Sometimes I even jump up and down. I might even go into Yahoo and answer some questions. Anything to change my attitude because I know that no amount of worrying will change anything and it just makes for sleepless nights and attention zapped days.
The Bible says that no amount of worrying will change a thing It also says that we should give our burdens to God. I'm not very good at doing that. I know that God 'cares for me' and so is there for me. However, being the willfull person that I am (I'm always telling people that I am God's most humanist human alive), I don't always look to him first but when I do, there is great relief. So I add this to my list of things that I do (personnaly) to stop myself from getting to the point/attitude that you describe.
I hope something I have written will help you because I recognize my own self destructive behavior in what you ask and I know that it is no fun and self-defeating.

You shouldn't worry so much and there is nothing wrong with you. It's just a phase. It seems you have more of a sensitivity issue. Keep your head up and don't let things and people get the best of you. I say for you to speak and think positive thoughts, read an inspirational book, and these issues will soon become like water on a ducks back.

You know it is wrong that is why you feel the need to ask. Worry is a waste of energy. It will drain away all of your vitality and lead to depression. You need to learn to divide things up like this:

A) things that are wrong that I can do something about.
B) things that are wrong but are completely out of my control.

Take action on the A items. Get busy accepting the B items.

Forget worrying. If you can fix it, fix it. If you cannot fix it, accept it. Worrying about anything accomplishes squat. Put all available energy into A & B.

I would say it's not normal in the sense that it's not particularly common. Listen, I have the same problem. I worry about things constantly. Some people are just more anxious than others. In my case, my anxiety has prevented me from enjoying life and it probably does the same thing for you too. I don't know this for sure, but I think that people who are very anxious have inborn temperaments that predispose them to think and feel that way.

It sounds alot like a OCD, but since I am not a psychiatric pro, don't take my word for it, but that is a symptom of OCD, look it up on WebMD if you wish. In general, I don't think it is bad to worry, the worst thing that can happen is that you will be called a worrywart, and don't worry about that! ; )

you obviously overthink things too much but if it affecting your daily self maybe yes but sometimes i will think about something and say what if this happened or this or this or I think the worst happened....I think you are ok but if it causes panic...just try and tell yourself that isn't what happened try to remember your overbearing thoughts are not reality... or maybewrite in a journal to express what is on your mind it might help to ease it.
