Degenerative disks run in my family, but I'm not sure if that's what's wrong with me. I have pain the size of a tennis ball to the right of my spine, right below the waist line. It's most aggrevated if I stand too long or when I lay on my back. The main problem, besides the pain, is when I lay on my back, I can move my right leg, but I can't lift my left leg. I literally can't. My leg will kind of shake, but it won't lift. If I slide it outward, I don't feel anything, but I can hear a popping like sound. Then, when I try to sit up, I can't unless my husband helps me, or i roll my body to either side and sit up that way. If anyone, has any idea of what could be wrong, I would greatly appreciate it! I've gone to 1 doctor and he just shrugged it off saying I wasn't 16 anymore. I feel I shouldn't be experiencing anything of this sort just yet, I'm only (just) 26 years of age! Any kind of help, is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

I am not in med school yet, but it sounds like someone needs to xray you and see if something is pressing on your nerves or spine, you could possibly have some neurological problem if there is shaking, get in too see another doctor!

I could tell you things that may be wrong with you but I,m not going to. I am not a doctor and I donot want to give you an in.correct answer. My advice to you is please go to another doctor. If that one doesnt help than find another one. Its your body and you know that something is wrong. That is why they call it- a doctor is practicing medicine. It does not make them all knowing. If you decide to go to a specialist and are having a difficult time finding one you could probably call a hospital and ask for the registry or list of doctors that are available . Remember, keep asking questions until you get the correct answer.

There is a problem obviously. Get an appointment with a non-quack doctor. They'll probably xray you and recommend that you go to a back specialist. Good luck and don't take no for an answer.

it could be MS, my mom has it and sometimes this happens, its stopped since she started her new meds. i know this isnt what u want to hear, but if you diagnose it early, it wont get bad. im not saying that you have this or dont have this, im 14 and not a doctor, so i could not be right, but go see another doctor and tell him what ur problems are and what the other doc said

The doctor you saw was literally a quack. He/she should have acknowledged a total lack of knowledge about spinal disorders. I would strongly encourage you to see your family Chiropractor.

Best wishes and good luck.
