so there's this guy that i've been "seeing" for the last 2 months, he recently started saying weird things about smoking weed and booze which i'm pretty sure are just jokes in person and on msn... so i kind of confronted him about it yesterday saying that his "reason for saying things like that is to make me scared of him".. he replied saying "then it's not succeeding if it was a reason"... and today, i messaged him and he sounded much more serious than normally... what does this mean? btw, i THINK he's interested in me, but i'm not sure...

He could be trying to make himself appear more dangerous or adventurious in the hopes that you will like him since woman are said to often like bad boys and all that while trying to maintain some sense of nice guy because obviously bad boys are also known for hurting & leaving broken hearts. I dont know how old he is but he could be trying to balance or make more of a balance appear then really is. I had a friend who about the only thing he did wrong was maybe drink but he sagged his pants & was often seen with some of the group more known for our wild ways as a way of trying to show a more wild side. Its sort of like a guy acting like he can talk to any girl he likes when really he cant even comfortably approach one that has admitted liking him... I had friends that were really bad & even several friends parents forbid other kids from hanging out with me just because of how I dress & some of our other friends like I said when in reality I was probably one of the people they least needed to worry about.
