I'd say chap, in order to validate it, a joust would be an appropriate measure to such matter.
Let them prove to us their skills if any of them know how to wield their respective rods effectively , I'm sure the crowd would love to see their proficiency !

You silly thing! You are all mixed up. It's Saint Patrick! He used that rod to beat the rightousness into of every snake in Ireland. They didn't like it too much and split. You only have until Saturday to get this concept twisted around in your brain and hung there. Otherwise, no green beer and no parade for you! You can be a atheist, Mormon or Presbyterian but on Saturday, we are all Irish.
