In my question 'What do you believe and why?', you asked me why I put you on my contacts list, sense, because I'm Christian, I must hate you. You said you were sorry for bashing, but you're trying to free me from something that is terribly wrong.
I don't hate you. I think you're wrong in your beliefes, just as you see my beliefes wrong.
In the new Testement of the Bible, Jesus says "You have heard the law that says, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say, Love you enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!" (Matthew 5:43-44)
I am willing to act on this commandment. I am willing to follow all the commandments given in the Bible, and I would die for what I believe.
Search your heart. If you were held at gunpoint and told that, if you say 'Yes, I'm an Athiest', you would be killed, would you say, 'Yes, I'm an Athiest'? Would you say no, just to live?
I'm a Christian, and in two years I'll be a Missionary. I'm willing to die for what I believe.
Are You?????

Speaking only for myself, I would rather die than lie. Atheists are capable of self-respect, too.

KIM,
The Hebrew word "Shalom" is understood around the world to mean peace.
But peace is only one aspect of Shalom.

The Strongs Concordance defines shalom as: Completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety, soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.

Sar Shalom (Prince of Peace) is one of the descriptive names the Bible uses to indicate the ministry and personality of the Messiah; Isaiah 9:6 - The Son of God is completely perfect in all things.

So in essence, when you speak out the word Shalom - you are not only proclaiming peace, but all the above meanings of the word over that person - that's a mighty blessing!!!

Kim, the Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His face upon you and give you Shalom. In the name of Sar Shalom - the Prince of Peace.
Amen

Shalom Kim! ~(~
