I once decided to make these egg plant "boats" with the scooped out egg plant and pine nuts I think, and other vegies too. They turned out fantastic! I like egg plant...and ya know? when I was pretty young...in First grade or so...I recall that my class went over to a classmate's house(one fella I had a secret crush on,at that time LOL!) and we made two egg plant casseroles! I didn't like the taste..and vowed I would absolutely NEVER eat the stuff again! and that "no adult " was ever gonna make me eat that terrible stuff!LOL!
Ironically, now I love the stuff! You have to live a little, and then ya learn to like things a little later! LOL!

Baking has to be the hardest because it is a science, you mess up on the amounts of ingredients and it will not come out like it is supposed to.

At the moment I cannot think of something I have been disappointed in cooking or baking, but I know I have made plenty of mistakes over the years. I've learned from those mistakes.

I would say international cooking would be hardest because if I have never had it before will I know if i have made it correctly?

LOL!!
I wonted my cookies to be the best! Njhs members at my school( of corse im a member who else?) were having a bake sale. Any dessert such as 2 cookies 4 50 cents. I told my Dad about it and we went down and bought the nesstle choclate chips and used that recipe. This was my first time cooking. I tried my best to cook them perfect. Lol when i got to the sturing part with the electronic mixer the stick I was using to help stur slipped from my hands all of a sudden the stick bent up the beats and flied out of the bowl. I scream and run. it hits me and i start craking up my dad comes in and gets all mad. i said it wasnt me! He finally get the beaters into there normal shape then i put to much dough on and the cookies were now square. the secound round they get burt and all the cookies were crispy but they were still good! Anyways my cookies turned out the best. My spanish teacher(Shh.. I have a crush on him) came back and asked for more but nothing was left. I was very proud of myself and cooked them agion and of corse gave my spanish teacher like 6 more LOL and my friends begged me to make more so i made more and more everyone luvs em! This experiance has taught me to not be afrid to do new things and of corse not to be afrid to show off how talanted I am!!

Hmmm. Maybe tiramisu with home-made savioardi cookies. And home-made marscapone cheese. There's a lot of work with whipping egg whites, etc., but it was a great education in how to cook. It turned out fine, and I make it once in a great while. The best thing about making it, though, is that it got me over my fear of egg whites. Now, I don't think anything of tackling an angel food or chiffon cake.

Tiramisu (I make a pure-cocoa/chocolate version) is absolutely heaven, and I was so happy that it turned out OK.

i cooked thanksgiving turkey last year. and it was easy. but none of us know why it fell off the bone! i dont know what i did to make it so tender! infact i thought i messed up the dinner because i put it in at 5:30am at 225degrees. and around 10am i called my brother to chit chat and when i told him what temp it was at he said, NOOO raise it up to 350. you dont have to slow cook it. so i did and it was ready by 1pm which is when i told everyone to come for lunch! i was so relieved. and when it was time to "carve" my dad barely held onto a leg and the meat slid down the bone. my father said it was the best turkey he's ever had in his whole life. again i have no idea why it came out so tender! lol but i'm gonna do it again next year!
