Ick -- I've been there!!! The best I found was Pantene. Get the one for people of color (I think that's what it says on the bottle) it's in a kind of coppery, brown container. It works SOOO well. They put triple the hair softening ingredients in it as normal shampoo.

It's extremely hard to get damaged hair back to normal. All those shampoo ads you see about it repairing you're hair are mostly false, because you're hair is dead. So you could use a Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner, but mostly, stay away form teh hair dye until the coarse stuff has grown out.

You're hair is probably dry & brittle...so what you need is something that moisturizes your hair without weighing it down completely...I suggest a moisturizing shampoo and a leave in spray tonic. I use Sedal, the original version of "Sunsilk",from Mexico...it has honey & wheat germ to nourish and hydrate your damaged hair and smells great! Look for it in places where they have imported mexican products. For the leave in tonic, try Biolage Hydrating leave in tonic...it will leave your hair feeling super healthy and that doesn't smell too bad either ;D.

Redken Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner. It has fortifiers and lipids to help rescue your hair from all the damage. You can find this in most salons and it always has other products like leave in treatments that will work wonders on your hair!!

it depends what kind of hair you have.but i can give you one tip for your problem instead of shampoo or cond..you should try hot massage for your hair..first of all take olive oil and gently massage to your hair after that dip your towel in lil bit hot water spin it and cover your hair with this hot towel .do it for 30 mints...after that wash your hair with shampoo...you will see the difference......your hair will become very smooth and beautiful..do it twice a week.......good luck
