I have respect for those who goes, but good things happen to people who do good things not just praying all day.

Holy places usually have very high charge of positive vibrations. This is due to the fact that lots of people come there with good thoughts and intentions. People gather with love for God and all of them focus their attention towards God.
Visiting palces with good vibrations frequesntly will help to rid you of any negative emotions, thoughts and desires. It does not wash your sins per se but it helps you to realize the consequences of your actions and prevent you from commiting more sins. You may be inclined to do good things and this will clear your past sins.

As there is no such thing as "sins", nothing gets washed off (unless the fire-sprinklers get activated by the burning incense), however it does have a measurable psychological effect on some people, similar to meditation or hypnosis. For those people that it helps, I'm glad it works for them, but I'm so sad that they give credit to the wrong source: the better feelings come from within, not a supernatural force.

Going to church isn't what washes off our sins. Church is a place where we can talk to people who believe as we do worship with those who enjoy worship with us, get more information about God and get involved in programs that help the community.

Going to church only means that you went to church, it's doing what God asks you to do. Repentance is what washes our sins away through the blood of Jesus. I doubt if anyone fails to realize that God causes his rain to fall on the just as well as the unjust.

I don't go to Church to "wash my sins off" - I go to Church because my sins are already washed in the blood of the Lamb. I go because I love God and it is an appointment to meet Him in a special way at His house. I go to show Him honor and exalt Him as God. I go because I love to fellowship with other Christians and contribute to the anointing in the service. I don't go just for the "blessings," I go because I am reporting for "duty" in the Kingdom of God.

I go to grow deeper with other believers of Christ. It's not the building that makes up a church, it's the people. What washes off my sins is my faith in Jesus Christ that he died for me on the cross.....

I go to my heart and seek my God to assist me in being good and doing good and I do so, not to shed any sins, but just because that is what you should do. God will take care of any sin issues what ever that is.

Going to church or any "holy place" has NOTHING to do with the forgiveness of sins.
I never go anywhere and I know for a fact that I am forgiven.

The church doesn't wash away my sins, they won't even wash my car. But it is there I go to worship as often as they'll let me.

I go to church ,not to wash away my sins.
Jesus did that foe me.
I go because Jesus said to."Forsake not the assembling of yourself together and so much the more as you see the day approaching."<><
