The rumor was UFC 71 in May.Anybody hear any new news?

I'm still seeing the rumor that the Iceman/Rampage match is going to happen in May.
Also I've read that the reason Rampage may be getting a title shot so early is because he only signed a 2 fight deal with Dana White and the UFC, so Dana wants to get his moneys worth.
Of course, come May the entire card may not have either of these guys on it. It's still early.

That's the rumor, there's a rumored fight card at MMA Weekly. I think it's too soon, they should have put Jardine against Liddell, and put Rampage vs. Evans. Rampage needs another tune-up, Chuck said himself that he'd rather have Rampage fight another couple fights before they fought, so there would be no excuses.

i assumed Rampage could win, yet i did no longer assume it to be that rapid. i do no longer likely think of you may call it luck, I recommend Rampage has overwhelmed Chuck two times now. i doubt that soon rampage has two fight at least won other person 1st...even crocop has to fight one more person(ufc70) b4 he gets a shot at the title
Edit: I'll watch his fight again to see exactly what he said but interviewing Rampage after his fight he made it sound like he wants to fight a few more matches before fighting chuck
