yes.... if you don't like water try drinking anything else but diet pepsi (did you know a side effect of nutra sweet is fatigue?) and starchy drinks like diet pepsi do not turn into water in your body, yes, you are dehydrated... there are lots of things to drink besides diet pepsi...
juice, milk, tea, koolaid, crystal light, sports drinks, ANYTHING except soda!

UM, YEA -- are you crazy?

Your body NEEDS water to survive -- not soft drinks. 70% of Your body is made up of water, so you NEED to drink it.

I cannot tell you how unhealthy it is for both your insides and outsides to only drink soda and no water at all -- your skin, teeth, organs, hair and nails all need water.

Plus, too much soda can make you put on too much weight that isn't good for you. Water cleanses your body and detoxifies your system.

If you don't like the taste of plain water, there are a couple things you can do:

- Add a lemon or lime wedge
- Use the crystal light flavored drink mix

You've been having headaches and feeling dizzy because you're consuming too much sugar and NOT enough water. NOTHING is better then pure H20, and soft drinks should always be consumed in moderation!

It's not just the sugar in soda that is bad, it's the salt. Eatting salty foods would dehydrate you, so will drinking a beverage with loads of salt. The headaches you are getting are when you cut back on the soda and your body reacts because you are getting hooked on the caffeine. Diet soda still has salt and caffeine which you are better off without and seem to be very sensitive to.

Two things wrong with drinking that much soda.
1. it can lead to diabetes because of the amount of sugar in the soda. Also, not good for weight loss - all that sugar.

2. the water in soda is strongly bonded to the carbon molecules (carbonated water) which makes it very difficult for the body to use - and yes can slowly lead to dehydration. You would be best to drink pure water but if you absolutely can't stand the taste (pure water is actually tasteless - so maybe your water is mineralized) try a flavoured water. Not the best but better that soda.

Hope this helps!

Yes you can. While water is best for you, anything that is water based that doesn't have caffiene or too much sugar would be better than the diet pepsi. Diet Crystal Lite, or koolaid, fruit juice, tea. Not to mention there is ton of sodium in diet drinks.

YES. Soda contains tons of caffiene. Caffiene is a direutic- it makes you pee more then you normally would. So when you drink soda, most of it is going straight through you and not hydrating you at all. Soda is a treat, not a drink. On top of that, the sugar subsitutes in diet soda are potentially deadly in high doses. They can cause liver damage, among other things. You don't want to be ingesting that much of it. Switch to juice if you hate water that much!

Pepsi has caffeine which dehydrates you. I believe they say you should drink one-two glasses of water to flush the caffeine out of your system. Your headaches may come from the aspartame and caffeine in the Pepsi. One cure for migraines is drinking eight glasses of spring or filtered water per day. I haven't drank any pop in two years and feel better and have far less headaches. After two weeks the craving for Pepsi will go away and water will start to taste better to you. More Water and Less Pepsi and you will feel much better!

Yes, it can. All the sugar and carbonation aren't good for the body; plus, caffeine is sort of a diuretic and forces water out of the body... think of how much you have to pee when/if you drink coffee. If your body doesn't get doses of water, you WILL dehydrate.

Definitly!!!! Soda dehydrates you. if you can't stand the taste of water try drinking tea or coffee or even kool-aid. Water is the best fluid but being that I can't stand the taste of it either I drink crystal light fruit punch. Low in calories and make with powder and water. Hope this helps!
