Ok, first off, the devil is the author of sin, sickness and disease-that's the answer to that one.
Secondly, you atheists want proof, always.
Take maybe the example, offhand I can think of things like having a dream, then waking up, then having everything you dreamt come to pass-OR you wanna really know some of mine?
Being shown some deaths that are to occur, and they do
Being shown a car crash several minutes before, invloving my daughter, and how it came to pass-her threw the windshield, my nieces and nephews-the 3 of them, and how each fared in the accident-and to me came all this
I prayed-and NO the accident couldn't be prevented-but could be taken down in it's severity-so I prayed thatta way
Felt the burden lift
Got the call there'd been a wreck
Drove there slowly, not worried at all, knowing I'd resolved the issue
Seen a stretcher as I drove up-not worried in the least
No one was harded but the drunken driver that rammed into the car my brother in law was driving, except the drunk driver
This example, is one of like over 1,000 I've had
Don't tell me I need to prove it to you
Be a fool
Go ahead, see I wish you'd come to know your creator, sure
If you don't want to, that's fine by me, your choice, your free will
Why argue with us that believe?
That makes no sense to me
Like...you can do/believe however you want, why have a problem with us that believe?

This a great questions. First, if you really want to understand logical well thought out answers to these questions from a former Athiest without feelling like someone is trying to "convert" you read Mere Christianity be CS lewis, it a short read but makes sense out of what can seem like a very senseless system of beliefs. Now I'll try to answer these questions the best I can.
Why do I belive in God?
One of the main reasons I belive in God is because I have a conscience and based on the gernal behvior of man everyone does. Now each society seems to listen to differnt asspects of the conscience to difffernt degreas there's never been a society that thought it honorable to run away in battle or be entirely selfish and there is such a thing as being good for goodness sake and no such thing as being bad for badness sake. If this is all true then something with thought must have made the world this way.
I don't describe this as well as many other people by it's my best description of one reason i belive in God.
Why does bad stuff happen to the apearntly innocent?
Christians explain this by the enternance of sin and imperfection into the world. This is not something God wanted. When I make that statement thought the natural question is how does something happen that's not something and all powerfuly being wanted. This is where we draw the destinction between will and desire. A parents desire may be that thier teenager keep his room clean however thier will be that the teenager learn to do this for his own reasons not just because they were told to. So therefore the parent doesn't insist the teenager clean his room.
In the same way God's disire is that we not sin however his will is that we make that choice on our own free will so he allows us to sin so we can also have free will. One of the results of sinc is disease and sickness.
These are very simple answers to very complex questions I could explain more if you want to e-mail me, or you couls read mere Christianity and get much better answers to these questions as well as others.

I believe in God because I feel him there. I know with out him there would be no existence. How else can one explain the miracles of life? On the same note, how can God let kids die of terrible disease is not an easy answer. I know that Gods plan has something instore for them, through faith and endurance he makes others stronger. Everything happens for a reason. Only God knows WHY!

"Why do u believe in God ?"
Because He gave me the capacity to and I responded.
"Whats the proof there is one ?"
He proves Himself to those who He wants to prove Himself to. He did that for me when I finally trusted Him.
"Why would a God let little kids die of diseases and cancers ?"
Why would He allow for any of us to die? It's what He promised to those who disobeyed Him. God never breaks a promise.
There is a lot more that I could go into, but that answers those questions.

i believe in God because i know that is the right thing to do, and i can feel in my heart that he is real. and i couldn't make it through the day if i believed that i would die and just cease to exist.
if you want proof, read books about miracles. if that doesn't convince you, know that faith is not based on proof. having faith is believing in something, even if you have no proof.
God doesn't let little kids die. he is there with them throughout their life. he has a plan for all of us, and we have to believe that if someone dies, it is because he knew they would and it was part of his plan. he was taking them home to be with him. God wants us all to be with him in heaven.
i know this may sound cheezy, but its what i, as a christian, believe. and just because you don't have all the answers, or still have doubts, doesn't mean you cant believe in God. i mean, look around. do you really think everything in the universe [including Earth] just randomly appeared one day with a bang?

here we go again....
1) I have that ability, the existance of God is probable, I have faith.....pick your favourite
2) most of the evidence is evidence against evolution and the big bang, but then there's also accuracies in the Bible, interesting patterns in scripture, accurate predictions/scientific laws/sociological behavioral patterns in society....the list goes on.
3) Supernatural Laws. God gave us this world, so He has to get in legally. He needs consent, faith, and sinlessness to work a miracle legally on Earth.
And no offense, but these questions are over asked. Something to think about: why aren't people allowed to seek alternate cures for cancers and diseases? a lot of tumors aren't cancerous, and there are pharmecuticle (but not approved) CLAIMS of cancer cures.

My life alone is a gift from God.
Proof...The beautiful thunderstorm right now, My lfe and everything and everyone it.
God doesn't let little kids die, he excepts them when they do.
and that the only historical facts that ever has come about and has even come a little bit close to be proven as true, would be what is in the bible.

I believe in God because He created me. think about it. there is really no way that we can have accidently been made.
think about it this way. say you're walking along a brook in Montana and you see a rock in the water. you pick it up and see that it is smooth and round. you know that erosion created the rock that way. if you keep walking, you see a mountain. in that mountain there are rocks that look like four men. presidents of the united states. now, what are the chances that erosion did that to this mountain to look like faces of men that were presidents in OUR country. very little, you would probably say impossible.
do you think that we, very complex creatures, way more complex than carvings in rocks, could have been created by accident? this, to me, proves that there is a God, and he loves us.
And God doesn't let kids die of diseases. we brought those upon ourselves during the Fall. Yes, it seems cruel, we know that through Jesus Christ, we can live forever with Him in heaven. So here's what I think. we should tell them about Jesus' love for us so they won't be afraid of dying. they too can be with Jesus.

1. I feel God's presence in my life and the world around me. It certainly isn't a rational thought process. It's a sense beyond the five most people rely on.
2. The indwelling of the holy spirit in my body.
3. The bible says to mourn when people are born and rejoice when we die. As Billy Joel would say, only the good die young. It's fear of death and/or worldliness that ascribes a negative value to the death of children. God offers to set us free from that fear and worldliness.
