I have had a TI-83 plus for about two years now. Well today I turned mine on for a test and there was just a line going through the middle of the screen horizontally. It's a solid line. When I turn it on the screen is black for a split second then just a solid line. When I press (second, then off) the line goes away. Is there some sort of a reset button or something? Any ideas would be MUCH appreciated.

Thank you

I could be low or bad batteries, also if you keep batteries in any electronic for too lokg it screws it up.

i have used both. they're exceedingly a lot the very similar. The applications are a similar, the layouts are a similar, and from a sensible attitude, each thing is a similar. the in undemanding words transformations are aesthetic (80 4 is more beneficial eye-catching), and the memory on the 80 4 is larger, which signifies that the 80 4 is faster, too, yet until eventually you're doing a touch severe calculations or apps, that's no longer truly major. The 80 4 also comes with more beneficial apps by ability of default, and it comes with a cable and application that you'll be able to connect it for your computer. that's a touch pricier, yet no longer by ability of too a lot. in case you want an 80 4, sure, you may honestly get it instead of an 80 3. Functionally, they're a similar. The keys are a similar and each thing; they basically look diverse, yet each thing's interior a similar position, and each thing works a similar way.

Resetting is done by pressing a series of buttons, provided the calculator is working to begin with. (Sorry, I don't remember the sequence.) It sounds like your batteries might be dead. Try changing those first.
