Republic of China is Taiwan. The communist China is People's Republic of China. The latter considers the former as part of it. Currently Taiwan has it's own government separate from PRC.

Who still calls Taiwan the Republic of China? It's an idiotic name that even most Taiwanese don't use. As for Taiwan, I love it, it's great. The people are friendly, honest, the air is clean. Pretty much the opposite of the craphole (China) to the north

We used to go drinking together all the time but then the Republic started hanging out with other Asian countries and acted too good for me. I saw China at work and when I said hi, the whole republic totally snubbed me. Then I heard that the whole country is trying to date my ex-girlfriend when they know I still have a thing for her. WTF?

China is booming because it has tons tons of cheap labor. I like them just fine and Taiwan they can have it. I dont want a war for some crappy island's independence.

China is an emerging giant because of its booming economy and effective adaptation of capitalism. With its many tourist attractions and antiquities, China is a good place to visit.

I have no problem with the Chinese people, But I don't trust their covernment. Even during the Cold War, I always felt that Communist China was a bigger threat to the U.S. Than Russia was.
